Darts Society: Interview with Adam (President)

Why should people be interested in getting involved in your society?

We’re great socially wise, a cheap night we have socials Thursdays where we just come and play some casual darts it’s not high effort you aren’t demanded to be there every week you just turn up and play. We get a lot of interest from brand new players who just want to learn and use our space.

What courses does everyone here do?

Some of us are arts based, some of us do photography, we’ve got some economics, music and sports journalist.

What is it about the society that made you want to join?

We made the society but it was the lack of a darts society, it was something we were getting into a couple of years ago and we wanted a way to bring it to more people at the uni and so we got in touch and created the society.

If you had to describe your society in three words, what would they be and why?

Family, drinking, fun

If your society could have a celebrity mascot, who would it be and why?

We don’t need a celebrity mascot we’ve already got one, his name is Frank and he is a celebrity to us.

What’s one fun fact about yourself?

We’re going to get a tattoo because we raised a lot of money for charity and we dont have any tattoos.

If there anything people should know before joining?

Don’t be afraid if you don’t know how to play darts or it’s your first time or you think we’re not going to be inclusive the idea is just for everyone to come and have their own throw.
