What does being a student at this uni mean to you?
Coming from a different country, it’s a whole different experience that I’ve had and I’ve been here now four years.
I’ve done my undergrad and my master’s now so I’m still taking it in everyday and there’s something new in learning by the day.
I’m very grateful to have this experience.
Why are you running for this role?
I feel that I can bring a lot to this role when I’m elected, I’ve worked with the student union before, I’ve spoken to many previous equity officers to understand the role and what I can bring.
It’s just been manifested through many years, understanding what can I bring is it good to the students, is it helpful and will it impact change at the end of the day?
What do you hope to bring to the uni?
I want to bring change, I want people to see change. I’m not just saying words to be elected I want to really put my efforts and what I’m saying to help the student life.
I want to improve the positive things we already do and I believe that we should be transparent with what we really do and what it does for students.
Why should people give you their vote?
People can vote for who they want but I believe students should vote for me because I’ve been here a long while and I’ve understood how the system works.
I’ve worked within the student body to understand how it is, and you already see my everywhere.
What three words describes your campaign?
Three words is difficult but fair attendance, more connections and transparency.
